Thank you for the right up I just became a paid subscriber to read your analysis . When I pulled the stock up is says it is trading at 49 with a dividend yield of 3.19 % … am I looking at the wrong stock ? Thanks

Hi Keith, thanks for your subscription! I calculate the yield by averaging it over the past 5 years and then comparing it to today's price. This provides a more conservative view that isn't distorted by a single years worth of data. The yield is lower over the past year because earnings have taken a hit due to temporary issues. Once the business resolves those issues (and gets Thaba up and running) it gives us a good idea of where the yield will return to, if we buy at todays price.
